SREDSTAVA ZA ZAŠTITU MATERIJALA
Sažetak
U izvješću se daju osnovni podaci o vrstama štetnih učinaka čije je ispitivanje
propisano hrvatskim propisima i EU smjernicama. Pokazano je kako se većina
štetnih učinaka na zdravlje i živote pokusnih životinja može izravno primijeniti
na okoliš, jer ti organizmi žive u okolišu. U posebnom dijelu izvješća
dane su toksikološke značajke hlapljivih organskih otapala, teških metala
i njihovih spojeva, nadražljivaca i nagrizajućih tvari te sredstava za
deaktivaciju i biocida. Posebno se raspravlja o tvarima čiji je promet
zabranjen ili uporaba ograničena zbog teških kroničnih štetnih učinaka
ili posebne otrovnosti za okoliš. Zaključuje se da u zaštiti materijala
treba posvetiti posebnu pozornost zaštiti ljudskog zdravlja i okoliša,
ali da sve mjere ovise o pojedinačnim kemikalijama i posebnostima procesa
u kojem se koriste.

ECOTOXICOLOGY OF PRODUCTS FOR PROTECTION OF MATERIALS
Summary
This paper reports about the basic data on types of dangerous effects
of chemicals, which are prescribed by Croatian regulations and by EU directives.
Most of the dangerous effects for health and life of experimental animals
may be applied directly on the environment, because the same organisms
live in the environment. In the special part of the report the toxicological
properties of organic solvents, heavy metals and their products, irritants,
corrosives, and products for deactivation and biocides are presented.
A part of the report is focussed on the chemicals with limited and prohibited
use. It is concluded that attention must be focussed on the protection
of human health and life, but that all measures depend on the individual
chemicals and on the special conditions of their use.
